Your School Counselor’s Belief System:

- Having a strong, comprehensive School Counseling Program serves our school, students, parents, families, and community.
- Students of all ages benefit from learning skills to self-regulate and advocate for themselves.
What does a School Counselor do?
I work alongside parents, teachers, and administrators to help students develop social and emotional skills and remove barriers to learning.
Your School Counselor can provide:
- Classroom lessons teaching social skills, how to take care of strong feelings, study skills, etc.
- Small group skill building and/or counseling
- Short-term individual counseling
- Consultation with parents and teachers
- “Cookies with the Counselor” (Parent workshops)
- Community resource referrals
